Arugula Microgreens

Slow Bolt Arugula is easy to grow and fast as a microgreen. It's a favorite and generally considered a staple of the spicier side of micro greens and baby salad greens. The peppery taste gets less intense as it grows bigger.

  • Color: A deep green stem and leaves

Broccoli Microgreens

Broccoli grows very fast and is one of the easiest microgreens to grow. Broccoli seeds can be sown a little more densely that other seeds. It has a mild but distinctive broccoli flavor.

Cilantro Microgreens

This slow-bolting strain is grown primarily for its broad, deep green, celery-like, pungent foliage. As a microgreen, these seeds take time but are well worth it, not only for the strong cilantro flavor but for the sweet aroma the greens emit.

Kale (Red Russian) Microgreens

Kale Microgreens are known for it's dark green leaves and variegated stems of pink, floral purple, and bright red. Red Russian Kale has a more consistent flavor compared to other Kale types. It is nutty and robust—similar to mustard, only less spicy!

Peas Microgreens

Pea shoots, also known as pea microgreens, usually have very prominent root systems, which is why it can be grown without soil or bedding. The tendrils add a unique texture while the stems have the same familiar crunch and sweet flavor of full grown peas.

Red Rambo Radish Microgreens

One of our fastest-growing microgreens! Improved dark purple variety with a very rich color and a lower percentage of green plants. Flavor is mildly spicy, not harsh. Micro radish leaves add flavor, visual appeal, and bulk to mixes.

Red Veined Sorrel Microgreens

Bright-green leaves with contrasting dark maroon stems and veins add color and taste to salad mix. Same sharp, tangy flavor as regular sorrel.

Sunflower Microgreens

Growing sunflower microgreens hydroponically (without soil) can be one of the more difficult types but is very rewarding. We love to use them as a base for any microgreens salad. They make an excellent snack and your kids will even try to sneak them! We recommend this as a staple of any crop or microgreens salad!

  • Presoak: 4 hours in cold water
  • Harvest time: 7 - 10 days
  • Color: green
  • Flavor: crunchy, nutty, fresh
  • Nutrients: Vitamins A, B complex, D, and E, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus

Thai Basil Microgreens

Thai Basil is a mucilaginous seed, meaning that it develops a jelly-like coating when it gets wet. Mist more frequently to keep the coating moist. Grows very well hydroponically and does better in well-lit conditions. Basil grows more slowly than other micros, and the stems don't grow nearly as tall as most other micros. Thai basil is common in Asian Cuisine because it has a basil flavor with a hint of licorice/anise.

Wheatgrass

Typically harvest around 3-5" high, wheatgrass is primarily used for juicing. This crop is a fast producer of dark-green leaves.
